Yoga Therapy has evolved through the natural combination of traditional yoga with modern medicine.
By tailoring yoga practices to individual needs, Yoga Therapy creates a practice specific to the client and assists in the treatment of various medical conditions including anxiety, back pain, arthritis, hypertension, heart conditions, asthma, digestive problems, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome (ME), fibromyalgia, RSI, migraine, insomnia, anxiety, depression and stress.
Yoga Therapy can also promote positive health in people of all ages. Yoga Therapy can be practiced in conjunction with medical treatments you are already receiving, and also in tandem with other complementary therapies. No prior experience of yoga is necessary.
What to expect:
Daniel Groom offers Yoga Therapy with individuals through one-to-one sessions or in small groups.
Before your first session a questionnaire will be sent to you and is asked to be sent back 24 hours before the session.
The first session will be 90 Minutes. This time is given for an in-depth discussion of how Yoga Therapy may help you, during the discussion we will be finding out information about your energy levels, sleep pattern, diet, previous medical history and stress triggers. It will also include practising a series of postures specifically designed around your health needs. It can include Yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation or mindfulness practice and supporting techniques such as relaxation, visualisation and using sound.
You will leave with a carefully written plan of instructions/recordings, so you can practice on your own. Each subsequent follow up will be a 60 min session.

Initial session of 90 Mins – £70
Follow up 60 Mins – £50
Package of Initial 90 Mins and 4 60 Mins –£250
Sessions can be weekly, monthly or ad-hoc whichever suits you. Sessions are available Online via ZOOM/SKYPE or at Anahata Yoga Centre, 1033 London Road, Leigh on Sea, SS9 3JY.
Daniel does offer some home visits which will charged the same as indicated above but may include travel costs which will be agreed before session start.
