Sunday 3rd November 11:00am-1:30pm, £30 per person, all abilities
The transition into autumn can leave us feeling lethargic and with low immunity. Often a busy time, getting back into routines following the Summer recess. As the clocks change and we delve into the colder and shorter days we can be left feeling depleted and in need of self care.
What to Expect from this Workshop
In this workshop you will experience the gentle awakening effects of a flowing Yang sequence, designed to help you build a sense of vitality and increased energy. To balance this, the second half of the workshop will introduce the therapeutic benefits of seasonal Yin Yoga. Postures held for set periods of time that correspond with the autumn. In Chinese Medicine where Yin is derived from, the autumn relates to the Metal element. We will be discovering which organs & related meridians are directly influenced by this element and how the poses support us in these times of transition.
Specific pranayama and mediation will be offered to support us in late autumn season to purify channels & boost immunity, increasing energy levels and enhancing wellbeing.
All yoga abilities welcome. ‘I BREATHE IN THEREFORE I BREATHE OUT.’
This workshop is the first in a course of 5 elemental workshops, incorporating Chinese meridian wisdom into the Yoga practice. Using Yoga and Meditation to explore the 5 elements we embody: Earth, Fire, Water, Metal and Wood. We will explore the relationship between the body, mind and our natural world, utilising ancient practices and theories to help bring us back to complete balance.
