Thousands of years before modern medicine provided scientific evidence for the mind-body connection, the sages of India developed Ayurveda, which continues to be one of the world’s most sophisticated and powerful mind-body health systems.
More than a system of treating illness, Ayurveda is known as “the science of life.” The wisdom of Ayurveda aids people to stay vibrant and healthy, mind body and soul.
During this workshop we will discuss the foundations of Ayurveda including your individual Dosha and how to use Ayurveda to support your Dosha and how to apply this knowledge to your Yoga practice.
During the morning 10.30 – 13.30 on 30th June Dr Paul will be helping us to understand:

Doshas and the body-mind constitution from an Ayurvedic perspective

During the afternoon 14:30-17:30, Dr Paul will lead us through explanations and practices of the importance of understanding your Doshas in Yoga and Pranayama.

How is this information useful to you as a yogi?
Practice Pranayama according to your Dosha.
Practice Yoga Asanas according to your Dosha.
Explore how asanas differ from person to person.
Why do we favour a style of practice? And how this relates to our Doshas.
This workshop is an introduction to tailoring your practice to you personally and for the benefit of your students.
The morning and afternoon sessions compliment each other, the afternoon building on the knowledge of the morning. While attendance at both is not compulsory, it would be beneficial.
There is plenty of opportunity to talk with Dr Paul ask questions and deepen your understanding of Ayurveda, yoga and how it relates to us in a western environment.
Cost: £45 for a single session; £80 for full day workshop. Bring a packed lunch. Tea and light snacks are available included in the price.
