A journey through sound to promote healing and wellbeing.

Positive Vibrations

A journey through sound to promote healing and wellbeing.

We are delighted to invite you to an evening of Kirtan, yoga nidra, poetry and sound therapy on Friday 8 February 2019.

This experiential workshop hosted by Lisa and Bob Horwell will introduce you to many aspects of the use of sound as a therapy in a safe and inclusive setting.

Bob, will lead us through a vibrant healing Kirtan, group repetition of mantra’s accompanied by harmonium and drums. Bob will bring alive the understanding of these ancient Sankskrit Mantras.  We encourage everyone to chant from their hearts. This practise called bhakti yoga takes us directly into our heart spaces. Feelings that have become blocked will be released, leaving you feeling lighter, more connected and free!

Lisa will then lead you into stillness and silence with a practice called yoga nidra or ‘enlightened sleep’. During this lying down practice, intentions can be set to help you fulfil your life purpose. This practise is profoundly healing on all levels integrating the mind, body and soul.

Lisa and Bob then join together to offer a sound journey, using a vast selection of instruments including Tibetan bowls, shruti, flutes, ocean drums and many more. The journey will then lead into a deep healing resonance gong bath, bringing our beautiful planetary gongs we become channels to healing.

Sound therapy and the use of vibration are believed to calm and repair the mind as well as reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, improve breathing and circulation, alleviate aches and pains, strengthen the immune system, and improve your mood.

Anahata Yoga Centre are very excited to be hosting these magical evenings, uniting our community and providing a safe space for healing and self-discovery through chants, yoga and sound.

We look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with you!
