Positive Vibrations with Lisa Horwell at Anahata Yoga Centre, Southend-on-Sea
A journey through sound to promote healing and wellbeing
We are delighted to invite you to an evening of Yoga, Yoga Nidra, poetry and sound therapy.
This experiential workshop hosted by Lisa Horwell will introduce you to many aspects of the use of sound as a therapy in a safe and inclusive setting.
Lisa will lead and gentle and nurturing yoga class accessible to anyone able to get up and down from the floor without aid for 45 mins, ending with stillness and silence using a practice called yoga nidra or ‘enlightened sleep’. During this lying down practice, intentions can be set to help you fulfil your life purpose. This practise is profoundly healing on all levels integrating the mind, body and soul.
Lisa then offers a full sound journey, using a vast selection of instruments including Tibetan bowls, shruti, flutes, ocean drums and many more. The journey will then lead into a deep healing resonance gong bath, bringing our beautiful planetary gongs we become channels to healing.
Sound therapy and the use of vibration are believed to calm and repair the mind as well as reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, improve breathing and circulation, alleviate aches and pains, strengthen the immune system, and improve your mood.
Anahata Yoga Centre are very excited to be hosting these magical evenings, uniting our community and providing a safe space for healing and self-discovery through chants, yoga and sound.
We look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with you!
