EPISODE 19

Adapting Yoga for Cancer with Dawn Lister, Daniel Groom and special guest Jude Mills.

In this insightful episode Jude talks to us about how yoga can be adapted for those living with cancer, yoga therapy and her new book Adapting Yoga for People Living with Cancer.

In her book, Jude explains how to adapt physical poses and breathing exercises for people with cancer. Offering guidance on meditation and relaxation techniques as well as providing an essential overview of living with cancer, treatments and side effects, the book emphasises the importance of physical space and demonstrates the personal and professional skills required to hold a place of safety for those who experience life-threatening illnesses. It covers key topics such as scope of practice, boundaries and appropriate language and is an essential guide for yoga teachers looking to hold cancer-inclusive classes.
